Paying for your students can sometimes be a daunting task, but it doesn't have to be.  We have come up with a way to raise money that is a win/win situation for students, parents, and student pastors alike.  We have used this method several times and have had students raise enough money to not only cover their own tuition for EQUIP Retreat, but some have even raised enough to also help other students with theirs!  Also, it creates a tremendous teaching opportunity on how important fasting is in our walk with God.

Here's how it works:

     - Download the Fasting Pledge Form

     - Each student gets per-hour sponsor pledges from family, teachers, friends, church members, etc.

     - On the set day of event, students will partake in a 24 hour fast to fulfill the pledge agreement, and 

        learn how important it is to draw near to God in our weakness.

     - It is recommended that you hold an "end of fast" event to celebrate their accomplishments.  That

        can be either a night of worship followed by a hot dog bar, or a pizza party, etc.

     - Upon completion of the fast, students follow up and collect the funds from their sponsors.

     - Voila!  Camp is paid for... AND they learned to partake in one of the relational commandments!
